Short Story – The Mark

The-Mark-GenericI decided to try something different, I wrote a short story. A horror story at that. I loved reading horror as a kid, I remember reading everything Stephen King put. It’s something about settling in for the night with a good, creepy book that makes you afraid to go to sleep.

I’ve had this story knocking around in my head for awhile and I decided to just go ahead and write. It was a nice respite from the longer projects and a reminder that I can complete something. :) It didn’t end how I originally thought it would, the characters had their own ending in mind and so I just listened.

Growing up, Alma’s always known she was different. When she’s betrayed by her gift, she reAlma has a gift, or a curse, depends on who you ask.  She has the ability to save her coworkers from a tragedy but will she be able to help them in time?

A short, snack-sized story (approx. 4000 words) long enough to make hairs on the back of your neck stand at attention but short enough to leave you wanting more.

You can read The Mark on these platforms for $0.99.

This story is engrossing. I never read a horror story before. Just goes to show what I’ve been missing. More, please? It was a great. The imagery was so cinematic. I am looking for the film.

    Kudos. I Love It!!
