I decided to try something different, I wrote a short story. A horror story at that. I loved reading horror as a kid, I remember reading everything Stephen King put. It’s something about settling in for the night with a good, creepy book that makes you afraid to go to sleep.
I’ve had this story knocking around in my head for awhile and I decided to just go ahead and write. It was a nice respite from the longer projects and a reminder that I can complete something. It didn’t end how I originally thought it would, the characters had their own ending in mind and so I just listened.
Growing up, Alma’s always known she was different. When she’s betrayed by her gift, she reAlma has a gift, or a curse, depends on who you ask. She has the ability to save her coworkers from a tragedy but will she be able to help them in time?
A short, snack-sized story (approx. 4000 words) long enough to make hairs on the back of your neck stand at attention but short enough to leave you wanting more.
