I just started The Last Good Girl by Allison Leotta. I read something somewhere that compared it to Gone Girl. Since I’ve never read Gone Girl, only saw the movie, I wanted to be ahead of the curve on this one. This book could be ripped from the headlines considering the heightened awareness surrounding campus assaults against women. The Last Good Girl covers the same ground. A young college student goes missing in the dead of winter after a confrontation with a student she had accused of rape.
I’m a little less than a third of the way through, so no spoilers from me. Just like the main character in the book, prosecutor Anna Curtis, I’m trying to figure out if Emily will be found dead or alive.
